Tottenham Hotspur defender Dorian Dervite could be out for the rest of the season after injuring his anterior cruciate ligament in a reserve team clash at Norwich City.
The 18-year-old was carried off on a stretcher after a challenge in the 19th minute, and scans taken on Thursday revealed damage to the ligament.
“Dorian gave a very good account of himself against Port Vale in the Carling Cup and I felt he was almost there in terms of making the breakthrough," said head coach Martin Jol.
“We hope he makes a speedy return and I'm sure he will come back stronger."
