Arsenal defender William Gallas has blamed his poor season on injury brought about by fatigue, insisting that players are not machines.

The player joined the Gunners as part of the deal that saw Ashley Cole move to Stamford Bridge.
"You are frustrated because you arrive from Chelsea, you want to show everybody you are the best and you can't because you are injured," he told The Observer.
"During that time I did a lot of thinking and I told myself if I am injured it's because I played too many games in the past. We are not machines."
Gallas featured for France in last summer's World Cup, reaching the final, and was thrown into Arsenal's pre-season and subsequent quest for trophies soon after.
However, they have failed on all fronts.
"Last summer I didn't want to come back to train because I was so tired," he revealed. "After the World Cup we need a lot of rest, maybe one-and-a-half months, but clubs don't understand that.
"They think more about themselves and not the players.
"Clubs need their players, but sometimes if their players can't train because they are so tired, leave them out. We have to listen to our bodies."
The veteran defender, 29, added that he hopes his former club from across London add to the League Cup they have already won this season.
"I will be happy for Chelsea if they win the Champions League or the FA Cup," he said.
"I know why I left Chelsea and I don't regret it. I will try everything to win trophies here at Arsenal next season."
