Reading striker Simon Cox joins Bristol City on loan

Bristol City have signed Reading forward Simon Cox on loan.

Simon Cox has made just three substitute appearances in the Championship this season

The 28-year-old Republic of Ireland international has agreed a deal with the Robins until January 3, the Sky Bet Championship club have confirmed.

Cox began his career with Reading and also played for Swindon, West Brom and Nottingham Forest before returning to the Madejski Stadium in August last year .

He had made just three substitute appearances for Steve Clarke's side in the Championship this season.
