Promoted Rovers, who beat Hartlepool 3-0 on the road in midweek, have lost just once away from home in a league match since last September and they made it four wins in six on their travels this season at Morecambe.
Clarke was understandably delighted with his side's performance but, with one win and four defeats at home this term, he knows where they need to improve.
He said: "We have produced some great performances on our travels and to pick up 13 points from 15 at this level is a fantastic achievement.
"The great thing is that we are starting to take our opportunities in front of goal and to score seven goals in two away games this week is another boost for us.
"It was an area where we were falling short at the start of the season but we have worked hard there and are beginning to see the benefits of that hard work now.
"The goals we conceded today were a bit sloppy and we look a bit shaky defensively at times and we will have to look at that, but overall I thought we were excellent and it was a great win.
"Now we need to sort our home form out because we haven't reached the levels we know we are capable of there, and if we can do that we can do well in this league.''
Morecambe boss Jim Bentley was once again left angered by his side's defensive display.
He said: "It's not hard to see where things are going wrong for us at the moment.
"We have now conceded 11 goals at home in three games and that is just unacceptable. We have worked hard on our defensive shape but we are not playing as a team, there are too many individual errors and we are not managing games well enough.
"We have had a few injuries and there hasn't been the continuity I would like but that is no excuse.
"Going forward we have cracked it and we are one of the league's top scorers but we are getting it all wrong at the other end and it is killing us.
"When you score six goals in three games at home you expect to get something but to have no points from those three games says it all.''
