Rumour: Arsene Wenger ‘asks Arsenal for Barcelona star Sergio Busquets’

Sport reports Wenger wants Busquets to take Francis Coquelin’s defensive midfield role and is top of the long-serving boss’ targets.

Barca, however, don’t want to sell and it’s not thought Busquets wants to leave, but the Gunners will put together a financial package to change minds.

Busquets recently signed a new Barca contract, Sport point out, that ties him to the club until 2019.

This has absolutely no chance of happening. Arsenal fans, don't even start to get excited. With Xavi gone, Busquets is the most influential of the Barcelona midfielders and utterly crucial to how they operate. Hell will freeze over before they consider selling him.
