Barcelona winger Lionel Messi has rejected the overtures of Italian champions Internazionale.
Massimo Moratti, super-rich owner of the Serie A outfit, has recently expressed his admiration for the Argentina star and said he would love to take him to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
"I know that [Moratti] adores me and for that reason I am pleased," Messi said.
"However, I will not leave Barcelona. I am happy and want to stay for a long time."
Messi has been at the Catalan club since he was a boy and developed into one of the world's most sought-after players. In the last weeks he scored a wonder goal in the Copa del Rey semi-final against Getafe comparable to that of Diego Maradona against England in the 1986 World Cup.
He revealed, however, that he may consider moving to Italy in the future.
"I won't play in Italy," he added. "At least not at the moment."
