Diomansy Kamara's agent Fabrizio Ferrari has confirmed press speculation that Roma are keen on signing the West Brom forward. Kamara, 26, has been at the Hawthorns for one and a half seasons after joining from Portsmouth in 2005.
"Roma like the player and we recently spoke with the club, but it is too much of a leap to say the he will be joining them," Ferrari told Italian Radio.
"Anyway Kamara will cost 4 million euros. West Bromwich's president values a lot him and would have to accept the possibility that he may want to come back to Italy.
"Unfortunately in England it's not difficult keeping players, because clubs can keep their signings happy and are in a strong position financially."
"This summer we spoke with Roma, but there were economic factors preventing an offer", the agent added.
Kamara joined Portsmouth as their £2.5 million record signing in 2001 after successful spells in Italy with Modena and Catanzaro.
Kamara is tipped to replace Vincenzo Montella, who is set to leave Roma in January with Fulham mooted as a potential target.
