The Italy manager will meet with the FIGC president today, with the possibility of resigning from the post which he only took up in the summer.
Conte is said to be furious after being forced to cancel an extra Azzurri get-together after clubs indicated they would not release their players, and a number of Italian newspapers have indicated he could resign.
Tuttosport believes that today’s showdown could indirectly be crucial for the future of Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi.
The former striker is under pressure on the San Siro bench, with the Rossoneri languishing in 10th position in Serie A.
The sports daily believes that if Conte is likely to be available in the summer, that would seal Inzaghi’s fate, though Paris Saint-Germain would also be keen on the former Juventus coach.
