Milan striker Stephen El Shaarawy has suffered a fracture to his foot, which is likely to rule him out for around two months.
El Shaarawy had been named in the Champions League squad for the match against Ajax this week after recently returning to action following a muscle strain.
However, the Italy international has suffered a microfracture of the fourth metatarsal in his left foot, which believed to have happened during training on Monday.
He will also miss upcoming matches against Juventus, Udinese, Barcelona, Lazio and Parma, and is unlikely to be available until at least the Champions League clash with Celtic in Glasgow on November 26.
The injury could end up ruling him out until the reverse fixture against Ajax at the San Siro on December 11.
