Genoa confirm Diego Perotti's season over

Genoa’s Diego Perotti will miss the rest of the season with a muscular injury, the club has announced.

The winger has been one of the Grifone’s star men this season, with five goals and four assists in his 27 Serie A appearances.

However, the 26-year-old will play no part in his club’s Europa League push, as an injury will keep him out of the last six games.

“Genoa CFC announces that the tests performed on Diego Perotti showed a second-degree lesion to the flexor muscles, with the biceps femoris [thigh muscle] affected.
