The midfielder had also been in advanced negotiations with Milan, but the Nerazzurri made a decisive surge forward after talks that went through the night and resumed this morning.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Kondogbia and his entourage are at the Stade Louis II in Monte Carlo, where they signed the five-year contract.
Sport Mediaset claim pen has already been put to paper, so we are just waiting for the official announcement.
Inter directors Piero Ausilio and Marco Fassone were already there, finalising the details with Monaco.
It’s reported that the salary will be €4m (£2.9m) per season, but with performance-related bonuses could get closer to €5m (£3.6m).

Stefano Dolci (Eurosport Italy): Mancini asked for a young strong midfielder with a strong physique, skills, great personality and great shot. Kondogbia was the first name on that list and Inter moved when they decided it may be impossible to sign Yaya Toure from Manchester City. I think now Mancini could work a 4-2-3-1 formation at Inter, with Kondogbia the playmaker. Kovacic could also leave Inter, who have to sell someone to recover the money spent on this expensive transfer.
