There are no details given, but it is widely reported that Inter agreed to pay Monaco €40m plus performance-related bonuses.
Sky Sport Italia claim the terms are closer to €30m plus €8m in bonuses.
He has also signed a five-year contract worth in the region of €5m per season with add-ons taken into account, €4.5m per year basic.
Milan had a deal with both Monaco and the player, as confirmed by CEO Adriano Galliani, but something changed on Saturday afternoon.

Inter manager Roberto Mancini prioritised a midfielder this summer as evidenced by their pursuit of Yaya Toure.
Kondogbia was always Mancini’s first choice but the club thought that they would be unlikely to seal a deal for the talented Frenchman – that was why they were interested in Toure.
Kondogbia will be a key player for Inter as playmaker in Mancini’s 4-2-3-1. Kondogbia’s arrival looks set to hasten Mateo Kovacic’s departure from Inter as they attempt to cover some of Kondogbia’s fee.
