Juventus close on signing of Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler

Juventus are close to matching Schalke's €32m valuation of German midfielder Julian Draxler, after negotiating through the night for the Bundesliga star.

He turns 22 next month and Juve already had one offer for his services rejected this summer.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Bianconeri will make another push before transfer deadline day – Monday – to secure their first choice creative midfielder.

The proposal right now stands at €25m cash plus another €7m in bonuses based on appearances and team targets.
