Alvaro Morata could leave Juventus: While Juventus are still hopeful they can hang onto Paul Pogba, the same cannot be said about Alvaro Morata. The rising Spanish star could leave the Italian champions after just one season after it was reported that they and Real Madrid have struck a deal that would allow Morata to leave for £60 million this summer. Arsenal and Liverpool are waiting in the wings to sign Morata, who has impressed during his time in Turin.
Paper Round's view: Morata has come on leaps and bounds since Real Madrid sold him to the Italian giants for £15m last summer. The deal, if the story in the Express is accurate, would see Juve and Morata's former club Real Madrid split his £60m release clause, meaning Real Madrid stand to gain a total of £45m for Morata, including the £15m they received last summer. Having said all that, Juventus are understandably keen to keep the 22-year-old, who has struck up a prolific partnership with Carlos Tevez in recent weeks.

Paul Pogba could stay at Juventus: He’s the most coveted midfielder in football, but Paul Pogba may not leave Juventus in the summer, according to quotes by his agent Mino Raiola. The Frenchman is wanted by... well, pretty much everyone, including Manchesters United and City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and PSG, with a price tag anywhere up to £80m. But Raiola said: “Everyone thinks that Paul will leave Juventus, but that's not guaranteed. Everything depends on what Paul himself and Juventus want. If it's the moment to leave, then he will leave.”
Paper Round's view: You’ve got to hand it to Raiola. Not for nothing is he one of the most successful and high-profile agents in football, and he is determined to make sure both he and Pogba profit handsomely. Part of that is making people believe everything is open, hence his further comment: “We respect the leagues in France, Germany, England, Spain and Italy.” Of course you do Mino. We don’t know where Pogba is going to end up – but what we do know is the club that gets him will have to pay handsomely for the privilege.

Liverpool want goalkeeper Sportiello: Despite Simon Mignolet's upturn in form, Liverpool are still on the hunt for a new goalkeeper - and they've identified Atalanta stopper Marco Sportiello as their man, according to the Daily Mail. Sadly for the Reds, both Internazionale and AC Milan have done the same. Sportiello is only 22 years old and has risen to prominence from the Atalanta youth system.
Paper Round's view: While Sportiello is a talented keeper and a good prospect, signing a young keeper and expecting him to make the step up to Premier League and potentially Champions League football is a big ask. With Atalanta recently moving to offer Sportiello a contract extension until 2019, Liverpool will be forced to pay a substantial fee. Chelsea's Petr Cech would be a costlier but safer option.

France midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin

Southampton to make Schneiderlin best-paid Saint: Southampton are set to make Morgan Schneiderlin 'an offer he can't refuse' as they attempt to tie him to a new deal and keep Arsenal and Spurs at bay, according to reports the Daily Mirror. Both north London clubs are in the running to sign the influential France midfielder, who has two years left on his current deal. But Saints want to make him their top earner on around £60,000-a-week in a last ditch attempt to keep him.
Paper Round's view: Saints are pulling out all the stops to keep their main man at the club, but it could be too little too late as he is coveted by Arsene Wenger and Mauricio Pochettino. Both men see him as the final piece in their midfield puzzle but, even if Schneiderlin doesn't sign a new deal, he is expected to sell for around £25m.
