The Emilian club are in dire financial straits, with electricity cut off at the stadium, staff and players unpaid since July and the last two fixtures unplayed.
Club captain Alessandro Lucarelli admits that it’s increasingly difficult for the players to believe in Manenti’s promises, but the President insists the money will arrive this week.
“I know that time is running out,” the President confessed in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb.
“But we will not fail. We need two or three banking days, half of them have been on a Saturday or Sunday.
“Wednesday then? Probably. But maybe it’s already there, because all it takes is one thing, so maybe the money is already there.
“The money is there already. There is nothing false.
“I have always been in love with Parma.”
