Mauro Icardi's second-half goal secured a point for Inter Milan in the Derby d'Italia as Roberto Mancini's side held Juventus to a 1-1 draw in Turin.
Carlos Tevez netted his first ever goal against Inter to give the Bianconeri a fifth-minute lead, though the plaudits will go to the creator Arturo Vidal, who produced a sublime 'croqueta' to glide past Gary Medel in the build-up to the goal.
Inter were outplayed in the first half, but the introduction of Lukas Podolski revitalised the Nerazzuri, who deservedly levelled on 64 minutes through Icardi's finish from Fredy Guarin's pass down the right channel.
The Argentine had a great chance to take all three points for Inter eight minutes from the end, but the 21-year-old was unable to get a proper connection at the far post to Podolski's cross from the left.
Referee Luca Bandi showed his first yellow card of the match midway through the second half, then produced six more and a red card to Inter Matteo Kovacic in a feisty last quarter.
Juventus are now one point clear of second-placed Roma at the top of Serie A, while Inter lie in 11th place.

KEY STATS
Inter have now conceded seven goals in the opening quarter of their league games so far this season, a total only beaten by Cagliari (10).

Juventus are unbeaten in their last 36 home matches in Serie A.

TALKING POINT
Does Roberto Mancini have a divided squad? Pablo Osvaldo had to be held back from hitting his Inter team-mate Mauro Icardi after the Argentine had chosen to shoot rather than pass in a Nerazzuri counter-attack with four minutes of the match remaining. Icardi apologised afterwards, saying: "I got it wrong – I should have passed it, but I saw a gap and went for it.”
MAN OF THE MATCH
Samir Handovic (Inter Milan) The Slovenian goalkeeper produced a series of fine saves to deny Juventus, the best of which came midway through second half with a punch to clear Andrea Pirlo's free-kick. The stop looked awkward on the replays, but the 30-year-old had made an initial movement to his left to cover the far corner, and then readjusted in a split-second movement to spring himself back to the right of his goal.
