Napoli fans camp outside hotel at 3am after fake Cavani rumour goes crazy

In a remarkable story, dozens of Napoli fans waited outside a hotel at 3am amid reports Edinson Cavani was set to leave PSG.

There were rumours spreading last night that President Aurelio De Laurentiis had called Cavani to ask if he wanted a return to the Stadio San Paolo.
Canale 21 then implied the Uruguayan was a guest of Napoli at the Hotel Vesuvio.
This prompted a group of fans to wait outside the hotel at 3am in the hope of spotting their former hero.
However, there seems to be very little chance of Cavani making a comeback to Napoli.
He was sold to Paris Saint-Germain in 2013 for €64.5m and is under contract until June 2018.
Gonzalo Higuain was his replacement, but Juventus activated the €90m release clause in the Argentine’s contract.
