Real Madrid could break the world transfer record for Paulo Dybala of Juventus, according to a report in Spain.

The forward is expected to sign a new contract in the coming weeks, and it’s unlikely the Bianconeri will include a release clause.
Despite that, Diario Gol is claiming that Los Merengues are very interested in the Argentina international, and are prepared to break the world transfer record.
It’s reported that Madrid would offer an €80m transfer fee, with another €45m in bonuses taking the total cost for the 23-year-old up to €125m.
The current record transfer is Paul Pogba's move from the Old Lady to Manchester United, with the midfielder costing €105m.

Prior to that move though, Real Madrid had broken the record on five consecutive occasions, with their deals for Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane, Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

OUR VIEW

Silly season has come early it seems. This report is pretty flimsy for many reasons, not least that Juventus have repeatedly stated that Dybala is not for sale. He is supposed to be signing a new contract and, even if Real do come in for him and the club does a U-turn to sanction the move, would he definitely get in their team? With Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema certain starters, would Dybala want to stifle his progress in Italy for a spot on the bench in Spain? James Rodriguez will surely serve as a cautionary tale.
