Steve Morison pens new Millwall deal

Millwall captain Steve Morison has signed a new contract with the club.

The 32-year-old striker has put pen to paper on a deal which will keep him at the Den until at least the summer of 2017.

"It has been in the pipeline for a few weeks now and I'm glad to get it over the line off the back of a good win at the weekend," Morison told the club's official website.

"I signed a one-year deal (last summer) with a view to agreeing a new contract and I've managed to do that while we're in a nice position in the League.

"We've got plenty to play for between now and the end of the season and it's been a good year so far, so hopefully we can top it off."

Morison returned for a third spell at Millwall last summer and has scored 10 goals in 37 appearances this season.
