There are seven huge games happening all over Europe, and here we guide you through the key points for each.
(All times BST)

Everton v Liverpool (13:30)

What’s at stake?
The small matter of bragging rights on Merseyside, a potential place in the top four if either team wins and other results go their way, plus Brendan Rodgers’ job if recent media reports are to be believed.
Key man
Daniel Sturridge. The Liverpool front man picked up two goals on his return to the side against Aston Villa after his latest injury layoff. If John Stones and Phil Jagielka can keep him quiet, that is half the battle against a stuttering Liverpool side. He is also a glutton for goals against Everton…
Stat
Sturridge has scored five times against Everton in the Premier League. The only club he has more goals against in the competition is Newcastle United (6).

Ajax v PSV Eindhoven (13:30)

What’s at stake?
Ajax’s unbeaten record and the chance for PSV to make up some ground in the Eredivisie table – they sit five points behind the league leaders after only seven matches.
Key man
Luciano Narsingh. Not only has captain and top scorer Luuk de Jong been ruled out for PSV, their opponents are seeking a record 8 consecutive clean sheets. So winger Narsingh must step up and provide the magic to break down a stubborn defence.
Stat
Ajax have scored at least two goals in every league game this season.

Arsenal v Manchester United (16:00)

What is at stake?
The spot at the top of the Premier League that Manchester United occupy by a single point and Arsene Wenger’s sanity it seems after his prickly reaction to questions over his recent team selections and Jose Mourinho.
Key man
Francis Coquelin, if he is fit. The Frenchman will provide steel to go with the silk in Arsenal’s midfield and he will be crucial in stopping United’s creator-in-chief Juan Mata and summer signing Memphis Depay when they cut in from the flanks.
Stat
Arsenal have won just one of their last 13 Premier League fixtures against Manchester United (D4 L8).

Bayern Munich v Borussia Dortmund (16:30)

What is at stake?
Bayern’s perfect start to the season – they have won all of their games so far – and the credibility of Dortmund as genuine title contenders once again after they finished seventh last campaign.
Stat
Bayern have set a new record for the first seven games of a season: 21 points with a +20 goal difference (beating their previous best in 2012/2013).
Key man
Robert Lewandowski. He scored 5 goals in 9 minutes, who else could it be?

Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid (19:30)

What is at stake?
Diego Simeone’s team want to prove they are not running out of steam after success in recent seasons, while Real simply want to keep the pressure on early pacesetters Villarreal and prove they are the No 1 team in Madrid.
Key man
Antoine Griezmann. He has been the goalscorer (with three strikes) and creative force behind Atletico this season and if his side are to beat Ronaldo and Co he must be on top form.
Stat
Real had 30 shots on goal in their last game against Malaga but were held to a goalless draw. Will there be a backlash?

AC Milan v Napoli (19:45)

What’s at stake?
A hefty jump up the table after two indifferent starts to the season. Both clubs are well off the pace at the top and need to prove their credentials for a tilt at the European spots.
Key man
Raul Albiol. Believe it or not, Mario Balotelli is beginning to look sharp again after his Liverpool nightmare – he scored his first goal on his return to Milan against Udinese - and Albiol will be key to shackling the enigmatic striker.
Stat
Milan have won their last 4 Serie A matches at the San Siro, while Napoli have failed to win on their travels in their 6 latest away games.

PSG v Marseille (20:00)

What is at stake?
A bit of pride for Marseille. They have struggled for form this season, with just two wins to their name and languish in 16th place. PSG have nothing to prove, they are the outstanding team in France and this game is theirs to lose.
Key man
Lassana Diarra. The former Real Madrid man has been in fine form and has been called into the France squad for the first time in five years. He will be crucial in breaking up PSG’s attacks and will hope they do not add to their 10 goals in their last three games.
Stat
PSG are unbeaten in their last 18 games in all competitions.
