Swindon's Bradley Barry released from hospital following concussion

Swindon defender Bradley Barry has been released from hospital and will be sidelined for at least a fortnight after being knocked out in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Oxford.

Barry, 20, was involved in a collision in the 70th minute during Swindon's 2-0 defeat at the Kassam Stadium and was carried off following a lengthy delay.

Swindon said on the club's official Twitter site: "The club can confirm that Bradley Barry has been released from hospital (on Wednesday) morning.

"He suffered a severe concussion but his CT scan was clear and he spent a good night at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

"The club will continue to monitor his condition and he is likely to be sidelined for a minimum of two weeks."

Swindon boss Mark Cooper revealed after the match that he had not had a clear view of the incident.

"Brad Barry is in hospital now in a bad way, so we've got to make sure he's ok," Cooper said.

"The physio has been asking around and we think he's been headed in the back of the head and it's knocked him clean out."
