Thomas poised for Robins move

Swindon are set to sign Birmingham striker Wes Thomas on loan.

The 28-year-old is expected to sign a deal until January at the County Ground, Press Association Sport understands.

He scored eight goals in 39 games last season after arriving from Rotherham but has not featured in the Sky Bet Championship for the club this season.

Thomas, whose current contract expires at the end of the season, netted both goals in their 2-0 League Cup win over Gillingham last week.
