EXCLUSIVE! Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has revealed he is on the verge of a move to Bulgarian side Levski Sofia.
The Dutch veteran, who lies seventh on the all-time list of Premiership goalscorers with 127, was recently released by relegated Charlton.
The 35-year-old former Chelsea, Leeds and Middlesbrough star told the BTA news agency: "I am considering the offer from Levski very seriously.
"Playing in the Champions League under coach Stanimir Stoilov, who is a very good friend of mine, will be a privilege for me."
Hasselbaink played with former Bulgarian international Stoilov at Portuguese side Campomaiorense in the 1995/96 season.
Levski enter the Champions League in the second qualifying round, and Hasselbaink could snub a number of other offers to join them.
"Apart from the Levski offer I have five more offers from English Premiership and Championship clubs. Generally, me and my family feel very comfortable in England but why not to accept the challenge called Levski?
"There has been a big friendship between me and Stoilov since the early days of my career and I am thankful to him for making me such an offer."
