Birmingham have signed James Vaughan on loan from Huddersfield.
Striker Vaughan moves to St Andrew's until January to plug the gap left by the injured Clayton Donaldson.
Forward Donaldson injured his groin on international duty with Jamaica and is not expected back until next year.
Ex-Norwich striker Vaughan has played just four times for Huddersfield this season and is yet to score.
Huddersfield boss David Wagner told the club's official site: "I have discussed my plans with James openly and he has told me how he sees things also. Our initial plan for James was to build up his fitness over two weeks like we did with the other players in the squad, but he was starting from a different position because of injury."
Under the terms of his loan Vaughan cannot play against the Terriers on December 5.
Rotherham utility man Greg Halford is also expected to join Birmingham on loan, Press Association Sport understands, after falling out of favour in South Yorkshire.
