Wilders calls for Cardoza talks

After helping the Cobblers avoid relegation to the Conference in his first year at Sixfields, Wilder is intent on improving the club from top to bottom.

Speaking to the Northampton Post, Wilder said: "I think there are a lot of things that need doing at the football club.

"There's a lot of work off the pitch that we need to be putting in to get the structure right. We have got a competitive budget but there are certain other things where we are behind in terms of what other clubs have and we need to put that all together.

"There are certainly things we definitely need to do on the pitch to get us in a position where we keep building and keep progressing and I'll be meeting with the chairman. He's keen for that to happen.

"Obviously he's got a lot on his plate but the biggest thing is the football team so I'll be going to him and telling him what I think needs to happen. Hopefully we can sit down and work together on that."
