Cardiff have sold highly-rated striker Joe Mason to Sky Bet Championship rivals Wolves for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half year deal at Molineux and will bolster Wolves' attacking options following Benik Afobe's £10million move to Bournemouth earlier this month.
Mason, who joined the Bluebirds from Plymouth in 2011, has scored six goals in 24 appearances for Cardiff this term and spent most of the 2013-14 season on loan at Bolton.
Wolves head coach Kenny Jackett told the club's official website: "We are delighted to be bringing Joe to the club. We've looked at him for a while, and particularly back in August, but the deal couldn't get done.
"He had a good loan spell at Bolton and he's a natural number 10, plays best just off a striker I think. Getting the right partnership in that area is a key one for us.
"And since Afobe and (Nouha) Dicko have gone out of it for different reasons it's something we're looking to obviously try to improve.
"I think he would be one part of that, and he is a very good addition.
"I like his work rate, I like his football, and I think he's a natural to play behind the striker in my ideal 4-2-3-1 formation."
