Marcus Rashford starts, Raheem Sterling axed for England v Slovakia

Marcus Rashford is preferred to Raheem Sterling in England boss Gareth Southgate’s starting XI for the crunch clash with Slovakia in World Cup qualifying.
Rashford was a lively substitute in Friday’s 4-0 win over Malta, earning him an outing at Wembley Stadium in one of two changes. Eric Dier also steps in for Jake Livermore in midfield.
Victory would leave England just one point shy of reaching Russia 2018, while defeat would propel Slovakia above them by a point.
England beat Slovakia 1-0 in their opening qualification game – notorious for being Sam Allardyce’s only match at the helm – courtesy of an injury-time winner from Adam Lallana. The sides also played out a 0-0 draw at Euro 2016.
England: Hart; Walker, Cahill, Jones, Bertrand; Dier, Henderson; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Dele, Rashford; Kane.
Slovakia: Dubravka; Pekarik, Skrtel, Durica, Hubocan; Lobotka, Skriniar; Weiss, Hamsik, Mak; Nemec.
