Kane taking the armband had already been confirmed by manager Gareth Southgate ahead of the match, although there no other clues about team selection.
It is unclear what formation England will be playing, with 4-2-3-1 a possibility, but it looks as if it will be a continuation of the three at the back that Southgate has tried; with Eric Dier, Chris Smalling and Gary Cahill the three centre-backs.
Ryan Bertrand and Kyle Walker are on the wings with Dele Alli and Adam Lallana ahead of Livermore.
As for Scotland they start with Leigth Griffiths up front with Christophe Berra and Ikechi Anya coming in to replace Russell Martin and James Forrest.
TEAMS IN FULL:
England - Hart; Walker, Smalling, Cahill, Bertrand; Dier, Livermore; Lallana, Alli, Rashford; Kane.
Scotland - Gordon; Tierney, Berra, Mulgrew, Robertson; Brown, Morrison; Anya, Armstrong, Snodgrass; Griffiths.
