Xherdan Shaqiri pranks youth team by posing as ageing genius

Readers over 30 will know exactly what happened if we just say he "did a Jeremy Beadle" on them:

For everyone else, the 23-year-old international star and former Bayern Munich player donned a fake beard and makeup, wore some padded clothes, and then pretended to be a frail old man helping out with a coaching session.

But as the session started, the ageing "Hansueli Strasser" began amazing the youngsters with his pinpoint 30-yard-passes and free kicks pinged into the top corner.

As ever with these things, it's the reveal that is the best bit - a devastating turn of speed, darting onto the ball and clipping it neatly past the keeper, followed by a celebration which saw him pull off his latex facemask and start grinning wildly, to the delight of the young players.
