Jenson Button 'lined up for Top Gear role'

Formula One star Jenson Button has been tipped for a shock role as co-presenter of the new-look Top Gear.
The BBC1 show is undergoing a revamp following the controversial departure of Jeremy Clarkson and his sidekicks, Richard Hammond and James May.
Chris Evans has already been confirmed as the new host of the show but now McLaren driver Button is said to have been approached by the BBC.
The news was broken by Daily Mail reporter Sebastian Shakespeare, who quoted an anonymous source as saying: “An announcement is imminent.”
Tellingly, neither a spokesman for Button or the BBC are denying that talks are ongoing with the former F1 champion.
Button appeared twice on Top Gear in its former guise.
He is now 35 and is expected to retire at the end of the current F1 season. Button currently earns around £8 million per year.
