Nico Rosberg signs new contract with Mercedes

Nico Rosberg has signed a new two-year contract with Mercedes.

The German posted a video on his Twitter page of him signing the contract, with Mercedes also publishing the congratulatory clip.

Mercedes added the caption, "It is done..." before adding with a photo of the papers, "Signed, sealed, delivered..."

The 31-year-old, who has been the runner up in the World Championship for the last two years, will now race for the team in the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

Britain's double world champion Hamilton signed a three-year deal with the team through to the end of the 2018 season in May last year.
