The history of Formula 1 engines changed forever in 1967 when the Cosworth DFV won on its debut with Jim Clark and Lotus at the Dutch Grand Prix.
The engine, developed with the backing of Ford, would go on to dominate F1 for over a decade, winning 155 races and taking Jackie Stewart, Emerson Fittipaldi, Mario Andretti, James Hunt and Nelson Piquet to world championship glory.
In this clip from Motorsport.tv's weekly programme The Flying Lap, Peter Windsor revisits the frantic build up to that famous debut victory with former Lotus chief mechanic Dick Scammell, who would go on to work for Cosworth for 25 years.
