Second victory for Hamburg

Hamburg HSV fashioned some breathing space at the bottom of the table with a narrow one-goal victory over MT Melsungen.

The northern Germans won 31:30 (18:15) to jump out of the relegation zone with their second victory of the season. The former champions now have 6:10 points.

The best shooters on court against Melsungen were Hans Lindberg, Adrian Pfahl and Alexandru Viorel Simicu, all with six goals each.

Meanwhile TSV Hannover-Burgdorf moved into mid-table with a comfortable 36:29 (21:17) victory against backmarkers SG BMM Bietigheim.
