Jockey JT McNamara dies at age of 41

Tributes have been paid to Irish jockey JT McNamara, who has died at the age of 41 after being left paralysed by a fall three years ago.

(John Thomas) McNamara was a leading amateur and rode four winners at the Cheltenham Festival before he suffered serious injury when he fracured his neck having being thrown from horse Galaxy Rock in March, 2013.

He returned home to Limerick after being discharged from the North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre.
