Flyers 4, Capitals 3 (OT)
Right winger Jakub Voracek scored 38 seconds into overtime to give the Philadelphia Flyers a 4-3 victory over Washington, snapping a three-game losing skid and ending the Capitals' 12-game home winning streak.
Voracek's second goal of the game came as he spun around the back of the net and fired over the shoulder of Capitals' goalie Braden Holtby.
Brayden Schenn and Ryan White also scored for the Flyers.
Andre Burakovsky scored two goals and Nicklas Backstrom scored once for the Capitals.
Thanks to a snowstorm that deposited nearly two feet of snow around the D.C. area, the Capitals had not played since Jan. 19, with two home games cancelled because of the inclement weather.
Lightning 1, Maple Leafs 0
Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy won his sixth successive decision with his best performance as he shut out the Toronto Maple Leafs.
A power-play goal by Lightning center Steven Stamkos in the first five minutes held up as the game's only goal, with Toronto backup Jonathan Bernier keeping the Maple Leafs in the game with 28 saves.
Avalanche 4, Kings 3
Center Nathan MacKinnon scored the go-ahead goal at 10:35 of the third period as the Colorado Avalanche rallied for a 4-3 victory over the Los Angeles Kings.
Avalanche left winger Gabriel Landeskog scored his second goal of the game on a power play at 7:38 of the third to tie it 3-3 before MacKinnon scored the game-winner almost three minutes later.
Kings left winger Dwight King, who had a goal and an assist, had given Los Angeles a 3-2 lead late in the second period, but Colorado came back.
Goaltender Calvin Pickard stopped 35 of 38 shots for the Avalanche, while Jonathan Quick saved 15 of 19 attempts for the Kings.
Predators 2, Flames 1
Goals by center Mike Ribeiro and defenseman Shea Weber lifted Nashville Predators to a 2-1 win over the Calgary Flames.
The Predators take a four-game winning streak into the NHL All-Star game break.
Defenseman Mark Giordano scored for the Flames in the third period and hit the crossbar with 5.1 seconds left.
Predators goaltender Carter Hutton also made a good save on defenseman Dougie Hamilton with two seconds left.
