Game Seven at Madison Square Garden is nothing new for the Rangers. They are 6-0 at home in postseason series seventh games, including the Eastern Conference semi-finals clincher to dismiss the Washington Capitals on May 13.
"It's Game Seven. In this sport it doesn't get much better than this," Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said. "We're going to focus on the elements that we need to do on the ice to have a good game.
"We're going to narrow our players' focus to exactly that, that permits us to stay in the moment, go on the ice and execute."
Friday's Game Seven with the Tampa Bay Lightning is the seventh chance for goaltender Henrik Lundqvist to save a series for New York.
He is 6-0 in this spot in his career, is now 15-3 in elimination games over the last four seasons and made 36 saves in Game Six while Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop is trying to rebound from a 7-3 loss.
"In Game Seven, you need different guys stepping up, and hopefully we'll have more than one," Vigneault said.

Former Pittsburgh Penguins coach Dan Bylsma reportedly interviewed with the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday.
The meeting occurred in Buffalo and included Sabres owners Terry Pegula and Kim Pegula and general manager Tim Murray, The Associated Press reported.
The Sabres tried to hire former Detroit Red Wings coach Mike Babcock last week, but he took over the Toronto Maple Leafs instead.
The Sabres are seeking to replace Ted Nolan, who was fired last month.
