July 13 (The Sports Xchange) - The Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday signed forward Taylor Beck to a one-year contract.

Beck was acquired by the Maple Leafs in a trade with the Nashville Predators on Sunday in exchange for forward Jamie Devane.

Last season, Beck collected 16 points (eight goals, eight assists) in 62 regular season games and also skated in five post-season games.

The Colorado Avalanche signed forward Mikko Rantanen to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Rantanen, 18, was Colorado's first-round pick (10th overall) in the 2015 NHL Draft last month.
