June 29 (The Sports Xchange) - The New Jersey Devils acquired left wing Taylor Hall from the Edmonton Oilers for defenseman Adam Larsson on Wednesday.

The top overall pick of the 2010 draft, Hall, 24, collected 26 goals and 39 assists this past season and has led Edmonton in scoring in three of the last four campaigns.
The fourth overall selection of the 2011 draft, Larsson, 23, scored a career high-tying three goals and set up 15 others while playing in all 82 games last season.

What Steven Stamkos might have earned on the free-agent market is no longer an issue as the Tampa Bay captain confirmed he agreed to an eight-year contract extension with the Lightning.
Multiple media outlets reported that the contract will play Stamkos $8.5 million a year and includes a full 'no-movement' clause for all eight seasons.
The 26-year-old Stamkos is an eight-year NHL veteran who had 36 goals and 28 assists in 77 regular-season games this past season.

The Columbus Blue Jackets signed defenseman Seth Jones to a six-year contract, the team announced.
Financial terms were not disclosed, but Sportsnet reported that the deal has an annual average of $5.4 million. Jones, 21, was set to become a restricted free agent on Friday. He had two goals and 18 assists in 41 games with the Blue Jackets.

The Minnesota Wild signed forward Jason Zucker to a two-year, $4 million contract, the team announced.
The 24-year-old Zucker, who was making $900,250 under his previous deal, collected 13 goals and 10 assists in a career-high 71 games last season for the Wild.

The 32-year-old recorded seven goals, four assists and 37 penalty minutes in 76 games in 2015-16.

Nelson made his professional debut with the Sabres during the 2015-16 season and recorded four assists.
