June 30 (The Sports Xchange) - The Boston Bruins bought out the final two years of defenseman Dennis Seidenberg's contract, the team announced Thursday.

The buyout makes Seidenberg an unrestricted free agent who is free to sign with any other NHL team.
Seidenberg's salary was $4 million each of the next two seasons. By making the move, the Bruins will lessen their cap hit to $1.166 million in 2016-17. Thereafter, it will be $2.166 million in 2017-18, $1.116 million in 2018-19 and $1.116 million in 2019-20.
The 13-year-veteran has 39 goals, 185 points and 310 penalty minutes in 758 career games with Boston, Florida, Carolina, Arizona and Philadelphia. The 34-year-old Seidenberg had one goal and 11 assists in 61 games last season.

The Washington Capitals re-signed right winger Tom Wilson to a two-year, $4 million contract and signed forward Zach Sill to a two-year, two-way deal.
Wilson will make $1.75 million in 2016-17 and $2.25 million in 2017-18.
The 22-year-old Wilson totaled 23 points (seven goals, 16 assists) and 163 penalty minutes for the Capitals last season, establishing career highs in points, goals, assists and plus/minus (+4) while playing in all 82 regular season games for the second time in his NHL career.
The 28-year-old Sill had one goal in 10 games for the Capitals last season. In 93 career NHL games with Washington, Toronto and Pittsburgh, Sill has two goals and three assists.

The Chicago Blackhawks agreed to one-year contracts with defenseman Michal Rozsival and forward Brandon Mashinter, the team announced.
Rozsival, 37, had one goal and 12 assists in 51 games last season. The 15-year veteran has spent the past four seasons with the Blackhawks. Rozsival has 306 career points (67 goals, 239 assists) in 941 NHL games.
Mashinter, 27, had four goals and one assist in 41 games with Chicago last season. He has also played for the San Jose Sharks and New York Rangers since beginning his NHL career in 2010.))
