Nashville - Ottawa trade defenseman, Devils forward fined - NHL Round Up

The Nashville Predators acquired defenseman Patrick Mullen from the Ottawa Senators on Thursday in exchange for defenseman Conor Allen.
Mullen, 29, has one goal, 15 assists and 18 penalty minutes in 36 American Hockey League games this season for Binghamton.
Allen, 25, has made 31 appearances for Milwaukee in the AHL this season and has six points and 52 penalty minutes.

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Robin Lehner was recalled from his conditioning assignment with Rochester of the American Hockey League, the team announced.
Lehner opened the season as a starter and sprained his right ankle in the season-opening loss to Ottawa. Lehner was acquired in the off-season from the Senators to be the Sabres' No. 1 goalie.

New Jersey Devils forward Jordin Tootoo was fined $2,000 by the NHL for a violation of the diving-embellishment rule.
Tootoo was cited for a violation in the third period of a game against the Detroit Red Wings on Jan. 4. He was fined because it was his second offense of the season.

Edmonton Oilers winger Rob Klinkhammer was placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment.
Klinkhammer, 29, has appeared in 13 games with the Oilers this season, recording one goal and four penalty minutes.
