Kopitar signs Kings 8 year deal, Anaheim - Pittsburgh trade - NHL Round Up

Forward Anze Kopitar agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Kings on an eight-year contract extension, president and general manager Dean Lombardi announced Saturday.

Kopitar has 645 points, including 230 goals, in addition to a plus-62 rating and 194 penalty minutes in 725 regular-season games with the Kings.

The Anaheim Ducks acquired left winger David Perron and defenseman Adam Clendening from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for left winger Carl Hagelin.
Perron, 27, has scored 20-plus goals three times in his NHL career, including a career-high 28 in 2013-14 with Edmonton.
Clendening, 23, has scored five points (one goal, four assists) and 20 penalty minutes in 30 career NHL games with Pittsburgh, Vancouver and Chicago.
Hagelin, 27, collected 12 points (four goals, eight assists) in 43 games with Anaheim this season.

The Buffalo Sabres recalled forward Philip Varone from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
Varone, 25, leads all Rochester skaters with 10 goals in 33 AHL games this season. The Vaughan, Ontario, native led the Amerks in points in each of the last two seasons and ranks third on the team through 38 games this season.

The Dallas Stars loaned defenseman Jamie Oleksiak to the Texas Stars of the AHL on a conditioning assignment.
Oleksiak, 23, has two assists and 37 hits in 11 games this season. Per terms of his loan, his conditioning assignment can last up to 14 days.
