All-Pennsylvania match up in prime time - NHL Round Up
The 2017 NHL Stadium Series game pitting the Pittsburgh Penguins against the Philadelphia Flyers in an all-Pennsylvania matchup will be played in prime time, the league announced Wednesday.
The game will be televised at 8 p.m. ET Feb. 25, 2017, from Heinz Field in Pittsburgh by NBC in the United States and Sportsnet and TVA Sports in Canada.
The original date was Feb. 18, but the game was pushed back a week later in order to televise it in prime time.
The Boston Bruins sent goaltender Jeremy Smith back to Providence of the American Hockey League.
Smith, who has yet to make his NHL debut, was an emergency call-up on Tuesday.
The Calgary Flames signed left winger Andrew Mangiapane to an entry-level contract.
Mangiapane, 19, was drafted by Calgary in the sixth round of last year's NHL draft.
The New Jersey Devils recalled forward Blake Pietila on an emergency basis from Albany of the American Hockey League.
Pietila, 23, has recorded 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) and 17 penalty minutes in 54 games with Albany this season.
