Russia down Denmark

A hat-trick from Sergei Zinoviev took Russia to a 4-3 win over Denmark in their World Championship second round match.

Zinoviev, 31, gave Russia a head start in the first period then scored twice inside four minutes in the middle of the second to level the scores after goals from Nichlas Hardt and Mikkel Bodker.
Yevgeni Artyukhin struck in the 46th minute to take the scores to 4-2 before Hardt netted again in the Group E match.
Russia, waiting for Washington Capitals' Alexander Ovechkin to join the national team, will now play the Czech Republic and Finland.
In Group F, played in Kosice, Norway defeated Switzerland 3-2 through goals from Jonas Holos and Per-Age Skroder in the first period and another from Kristian Forsberg in the third.
"Today we played a good game and now we have to take some points from Canada and France," Norway's captain Ole-Kristian Tollefsen said.
Earlier, Belarus beat Austria 7-2 in the relegation round while Slovenia defeated Latvia 5-2.
