Germany's lugers clinched the overall team relay World Cup title as they slid to a fourth win of the season in front of a home crowd in Altenberg.
The quartet of Tatjana Huefner, Felix Loch, Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken posted a combined time of 2:24.204 minutes to edge out Canada while Latvia took bronze.
They had already notched three previous team relay wins this season and with just one race to come, in Winterberg next weekend, their advantage atop the overall standings is unassailable.
Latvia are second, 106 points behind the Germans, while USA – who finished in a disappointing sixth in Altenberg – lie third.
The race also served as the European Championships, where Latvia were bumped up to second due to Canada's ineligibility and the Russian foursome won bronze ahead of Italy.
