The Germans maintained the nation's dominance of the World Cup competitions this season, racking up a tenth successive victory for the country on Saturday morning.
And their superiority was illustrated with Robin Johannes Geueke and David Gamm taking third to close the gap on the final podium spot in the World Cup standings.
The Tobias' recorded the best times in both runs, clocking 40.910 seconds in their first and 40.999 in the second – and in doing so were the only pairing to dip below 41s in the whole competition.
Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken, winners of seven of the ten World Cup events so far this season, finished second, 0.156s behind their compatriots, with the third German pairing 0.506s behind the winners.
The result means Wendl and Arlt have cut Eggert and Beneken's World Cup lead to 167 points, while extending their lead to third place Matt Mortensen and Jayson Terdiman to 230 points.
Racing continues in Pyeongchang in a fortnight's time. Sportsbeat 2017
