Eric Frenzel led an all-German podium as he claimed his first World Cup win of the season in Lillehammer, Norway.
Reigning World Cup champion Frenzel finished second in the opener in Finland, before slipping to a disappointing 17th in the second event.
But it was a case of third time lucky as he came home in 24:35.0 minutes for the victory, with compatriots Johannes Rydzek and Fabian Riessle second and third respectively.
Five of the top seven hailed from Germany, with Bjoern Kircheisen fifth and Vinzenz Geiger seventh, but there was no doubting who the star of the show was.
Despite finishing second in Lillehammer, Rydzek – who won the opening two rounds – still leads the World Cup standings on 280 points.
Frenzel is now second on 194 while Akito Watabe is third on 146 after finishing third in Lillehammer.
