Jo Pavey selected in GB Olympic team at age of 42

Jo Pavey has been chosen to represent Great Britain in her fifth Olympic Games at the age of 42.

Pavey was chosen for the 10,000m after achieving the qualifying time in Amsterdam on Wednesday.
"Track and field is one of the showpiece sports of an Olympic Games and in these 80 athletes we have a team full of the ability, pedigree and experience to match the spectacle," said Team GB chef de mission Mark England.
"It's great to welcome back the household names who lit up London 2012 but I'm also sure the country can look forward to new heroes emerging in the Olympic Stadium in Rio de Janeiro this summer."
As expected, London 2012 gold medal winners Jessica Ennis-Hill, 30, Mo Farah, 33, Greg Rutherford are selected.
Double world champion Christine Ohuruogu is picked for the 400m.

80 athletes will travel to Rio as Britain attempt to improve upon their haul of six medals four years ago.
