FT

ENGLAND 31-12 ARGENTINA

80'

England push Argentina back on to their own tryline, before infringing at the breakdown and the referee decides that that is enough.

79'

Macome trying to run the ball from their own half in the final minute of the game but England keep them pinned to the 22m line...

78'

CONVERSION ENGLAND! 31-12! Morgan was unchallenged as he crossed the line so could make things easy for his fly-half and touch down in between the posts. And sure enough Farrell adds the extra two points to make the scoreline much better again.

77'

TRY ENGLAND! 29-12! England take advantage of some disorganisation in the Argentina defensive line after they make their final replacement. And Ben Morgan forces his way through the a gap and over the line to spare England a scoreless second half.

76'

The clock is just ticking down now as both teams suffer a scrappy passage of play in the middle of the park...

75'

Alex Goode replaces Mike Brown as the clock ticks over to the 75 minute mark. That's the last of England's replacements now.

73'

Bosch decides to kick for the posts from just inside the half-way line but he closes his eyes in resignation immediately after making contact as he knows he has pulled the ball to the left of the uprights.

72'

Wood is penalised for playing the ball off his feet after Cordero has just lost the ball backwards in contact with Morgan.

71'

Yet another line-out goes completely awry for England, this time the ball being thrown beyond all the England players and bobbling around loose in the middle of the park before Argentina manage to collect. As good as England were in the first half, they have been equally as wasteful and loose in the second.

70'

Argentina spill the ball forward from Macome, on the five metre line, and England, temporarily at least, are let off the hook. It will be defensive scrum for the hosts.

68'

Hernandez kicks upfield with Foden marshalling the ball into touch for an England line-out. But guess what? Yep, Youngs is unable to find his man and Argentina end up in possession after the line-out. They are just a few metres short of the line.

65'

Youngs does find Parling but England are unable to do anything in attack.

65'

Farrell puts in a great kick after Argentina are caught off their feet in the ruck. England have a line-out on the 22m line and it'll be a first test for Youngs, who did not often find his man in the set peice last week.

63'

Almost immediately after that last substitution, England also decide to bring on Tom Youngs in place of Dylan Hartley.

62'

England bring on Toby Flood in place of Twelvetrees, presumably to try and produce a bit of creativity in the England back line.

60'

Ashton passes to absolutely no-one when he should really have gone to ground with the ball. England are looking a shadow of the team that dominated the first half. Argentina, on the other hand, look by far the more likely team to score.

58'

Ouch! It doesn't look like a good kick from the moment Farrell makes contact and sure enough the ball bounces back off the right upright.

57'

Foden does brilliantly well to claim the re-start and gain a line-out. England also win the ball from that before Cubelli is penalised at the maul and England have a chance to kick at the posts once more.

56'

Another round of replacements for England as Parling and Morgan come on for Lawes and Vunipola respectively

56'

PENALTY ARGENTINA! 24-12! Sanchez reduces the deficit by another three points after Wood is penalised on the 10m line just to the right of the posts.

54'

Care ... Farrell ... Twelvetrees ... the half-back loses the ball and Argentina punt the ball upfield. England get back first to avoid any danger but that was a wasted opportunity.

53'

Argentina push England back from the line-out but then concede yet another penalty for not rolling away and this time the hosts' line-out will be only six metres out.

52'

Danny Care, with a pretty dodgy haircut it has to be said, comes on to replace Lee Dickson as England kick for the corner and another drive towards the line.

50'

Los Pumas break quickly through Cubelli after being awarded a penalty on the half way line but, after a couple of phases, they are penalised when Bosch holds on.

48'

Robshaw ... Launchberry ... Foden ... Launchberry again ... Tomkins ... Argentina think he has lost the ball but he just manages to hold on ... and the is penalised for holding on!

46'

PENALTY ARGENTINA! 24-9! A much easier kick this time around for Sanchez as he adds another three points to the tourists tally from out on the left wing. That's a solid start from Los Pumas.

45'

Argentina are playing advantage when Sanchez puts up a high kick upfield. Brown comes in through all the bodies to collect the ball but he takes a knock in the process and, just to add to his pain, concedes a penalty for coming in from the side.

44'

Argentine break from their own half with Amorosino making a solid 30m on his own before trying to link up with Cordero, the young replacement just failing to hold on to the ball. Still, Argentina have the attacking line-out about 30m out from the try line.

42'

Brown is screaming for the ball inside as Ashton sets up in increasingly diminishing space on the right wing. Ashton kicks through and Brown doubles back, alongside Foden to help, but they are offside.

41'

We are underway for the second half through the boot of Farrell ...

HT

Alex Corbisiero is on for the second half in place of Marler.

HT

ENGLAND 24-6 ARGENTINA

40'

Albacete goes down after a heavy, slightly clumsy challenge from Dickson and looks to be in a little trouble with his left leg. And that'll be the end of the half.

39'

The first real test of the England defence and Sanchez exposes a gap in the line. But they are called back for obstruction and the hosts escape. They were a little lucky there, that seemed just about as deliberate as England's obstruction last week for their try which they got away with, while Argentina are penalised, denying them a certain try.

38'

Bosch decides to step up to the ball once more, 53m out. He comfortably has the distance once again but this time he can't quite get his direction right and the ball sails just past the right post. England escape that time.

37'

Argentina are awarded another penalty at distance, this time just on their side of the half-way line...

35'

CONVERSION ENGLAND! 24-6! Farrell proves he is equally as capable of kicking for the conversion from the right wing as he is the left and adds the two extra points with little trouble.

34'

TRY ENGLAND! 22-6! England get to within centimetres of the try line before Dickson spots the acres of space on the right wing. Dickson to Farrell, out to Ashton, who skips over the line unchallenged.

33'

Farrell ... Dickson ... Robshaw ... Twelvetrees .... Foden ... Dickson ... Hartley ... Brown ... Brown is hussled into touch on the right wing.

32'

Imhoff limps off and is replaced by Cordero, just 20 years of age.

32'

Argentina are penalised for offside as they struggle to find anyway to stop the relentless England attack ... Farrell kicks for the corner.

30'

England attack again from isinde their own half but again they infringe at the breakdown and this Argentina get the penalty turnover and a chance to clear, Hartley having held on.

26'

Twelvetrees makes the blind pass on behind him after a great ball from Farrell but he's completely missed where the rest of his team are and it goes loose. England get back to dive on the ball though before it goes dead and they had to settle for the scrum instead.

26'

England on the attack once again, working the ball through the phases and getting just over the 22m line. In their 5th phase now, still in possession of the ball...

23'

CONVERSION ENGLAND! 17-6! Another solid kick from Farrell from out on the right wing to add the conversion. So far, this is much more impressive from England that last week.

21'

TRY ENGLAND! 15-6! England recycle the ball from the back of the scrum, Tomkins goes on the dummy run as Twelvetrees receives the ball and bounces off three tackles - Agulla, Bosch and Fernandez - before touching down.

20'

Brown unleashes Ashton on the right wing after skipping round one tackle from the Argentine defence. But Amorosino and Imhoff do brilliantly well to bring the Saracens man down just short of the line and then turn him over as they all skid across the line.

18'

PENALTY ARGENTINA! 10-6! Fantastic kick from Bosch as he adds another three points to his side's tally with a kick from 48m out. It was pretty much right in front of the posts but still, he more than had the distance and the ball sailed over the bar.

17'

Argentina win their first penalty in the scrum for the afternoon on the half way line as England are penalised for collapsing it...

14'

CONVERSION ENGLAND! 10-3! Another solid kick from Farrell adds the conversion from out wide and England maximise the points from that score.

13'

TRY ENGLAND! 8-3! England are playing advantage again as they force their way towards the line. But this time they don't need it as Joe Launchberry takes the ball on at the last minute, stretches out and touches down right on the white line.

12'

A solid line-out from England rolls towards the line. A mass of bodies also crosses the line but England were playing advantage and seeings as the ref decides that England will have the penalty as Argentina collapsed the maul. Another attacking line-out...

11'

Farrell doesn't go for the three points this time, instead he kicks for the corner and the attacking line-out.

10'

Tomkins finds Brown just inside him on the left wing as England cross the half-way line ... they recycle the ball through a few more phases before being called back as Leguizamon is penalised for side entry.

8'

PENALTY ARGENTINA! 3-3! And sure enough that's exactly what the tourists do. An easy kick for Sanchez from right out in front of the posts and the scores are all square once again. A little sloppy from England to relinquish their early lead.

7'

Agulla uses his impressive pace to charge down a clearance kick from Lee Dickson and England compound the problem by playing the ball offside. A chance for Argentina to level the scores early on.

6'

PENALTY ENGLAND! 3-0! A pretty solid start from Owen Farrell as he calmly thumps the ball straight through the middle of the posts. After an up-and-down time last week that should settle the nerves for the Saracens man.

5'

Argentina are penalised for playing the ball off their feet and it is a first chance to kick for points for England ...

3'

Brown has picked up where he left off last week and impressively collects already his third high ball of the clash before setting off on the counter.

1'

Argentina successfully win their first line-out of the afternoon despite the best efforts of Lawes, who can't quite intercept the ball.

1'

We are underway ...

The national anthems completed, it will be Argentina to get the clash underway through the boot of Sanchez.
