The bottom-placed side in the Top 14 have won just twice all season and were no match for a side with aspirations of the title.
The Racingmen took a 17-9 lead by the break and added two further tries after the resumption to put the game beyond doubt.
The hosts did score a consolation try but Julien Saubade went over for Racing Metro at the death to add a touch of gloss to the scoreline and secure an all-important bonus point.
Toulouse lost 19-13 at Aviron Bayonnais, their sixth defeat of the season.
Aviron controlled the game, with Benjamin Boyet kicking three penalties in the first-half and converting Yoann Huget’s try.
The margin of victory would have been still larger had Vincent Clerc not added a try late in the game.
Montpellier edged a thriller with Agen 25-24 – with both sides scoring late tries to keep the game on a knife-edge – to keep their unbeaten home record intact.
Castres beat Brive 20-12 to give them a first away victory of the season, while La Rochelle were unlucky to come out on the losing side of an eight-try cracker at Biarritz, eventually going down 32-30.
And Perpignan came away with a 21-9 win from their trip to Paris to face Stade Francais in a mid-table tussle.
