Having secured a 6-3 advantage during the morning session, Bingham went on to take the crucial tenth frame 66-57 despite the fact that Allen had mustered a break of 42.
With both players struggling for any form of fluency, Bingham managed to grind out the next two frames to give himself a 9-3 advantage.
Allen got his hand on the table first in what turned out to be the final frame but could only make 16 and Bingham took the chance to secure his second ranking title with a break of 81 as he turned 5-3 into a 10-3 winning margin.
For his troubles, Bingham takes home a winner’s cheque of £85,000 while Allen collects £35,000.
Morning session
Bingham raced into a four-frame lead courtesy of runs of 99, 46 and 68 but Allen, who came from 5-2 down in his semi-final against Mark Selby, took frame five courtesy of a 97.
Allen then ground out the next frame 69-61 to cut the arrears but Bingham sealed a tactical frame seven to re-open a three-frame advantage.
The pair then exchanged frames - with Allen making a 69 in frame eight - to go into the afternoon session with the Bingham holding a 6-3 advantage.
